Here is an all original Winchester Model 52 chambered in .22lr. This wonderful rifle was manufactured in New Haven CT in 1929 making it 93 years old. The model 52 was designed as an "accuracy" rifle with the intention that it would be adopted by the U.S. Military as a training rifle. This Model 52 is in all original condition and features a 28" barrel heavy target barrel, 5 shot magazine, target-style Walnut stock, fixed front sight, fully adjustable rear sight, and barrel-mounted scope blocks. This rifle retains a vast amount of its original blue finish with the exception of various scattered handling marks, slight discoloration in spots due to surface rust, and light high-edge wear. The factory walnut stock is in great condition for its age and shows no signs of cracks, chips, or repairs, just various scattered handling marks. All the factory stock hardware is in great condition and the scope blocks are still intact. The original factory rear sight is in excellent condition and functions 100%. All the factory markings are more than visible and the magazine is in great overall condition. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the action is buttery-smooth. This rifle would be an excellent addition to the collection of an avid Winchester fan.
