This is a bayonet belonging to John Flood. Mr. Flood had brought it back from the Great War. This item came from John Flood who was was Wyatt and Sadie Earp’s personal Secretary and closest confidant. Mr. Flood even wrote a biography on Wyatt Earp that was never published. He was given and inherited numerous items from the Earps. Mr. Flood in turn passed the earp collection on to John Gilchriese. Mr. Gilchriese owned and operated The Wyatt Earp Museum in Tombstone AZ where all of these items were displayed. These items were sold directly by Mr. Gilchriese to David Roberts along with Mr. Gilchriese’s notes on each item. Each item comes with a certificate of authenticity from Collectors Firearms.
