The lightweight mid-length direct gas impingement system keeps this dependable shot maker on beat like a heart. Top-end B5 Systems furniture includes steep-angled, extended-tang Type-23 P-Grip with palm-filling ergonomics and enhanced SOPMOD Stock with ergonomic cheekweld, integrated QD sling mounts and no-slip cushioned buttpad. The full-length 15" aluminum handguard features ample M-Lok® real estate for accessories. A 16" chrome moly vanadium Melonite®-coated barrel with 1:8" rate-of-twist rifling offers rugged, easy-handling performance. Low-profile adjustable flip-up sights promote fast, on-target aiming. Forged 7075 T6 Aluminum upper and lower receiver features type-III hardcoat-anodized finish with forward assist and M4 feed ramps on upper and Accu-Tite™ tension system on lower. Other details include M16 bolt carrier group with 9310 steel bolt, nickel-boron-coated GI trigger, carbine "H" heavy tungsten buffer, GI-style charging handle, ambidextrous safety switch, and SA muzzle brake.
