MADE IN BELGIUM COMMERCIAL FN MAUSER 98 ENGRAVED RIFLE ACTION CIRCA 1951. Serial numbered behind lug with four digit s/n (below four dots) along with other Belgian Liege proofs along "ML". Engraved with stags head receiver in the white except below wood line where old bluing appears. Engraving project that never got assembled into rifle as owner/gunsmith passed away. Observe "1951" next to FN in oval on right side of receiver. Barrel threads crisp and ready for new rifle barrel. Blue steel triggerguard slightly engraved as well. Hinged floorplate housing follower and spring nicely blued. In the white bolt with matching belgian proofs "L" and "circled/ 2" is matching to receiver with tight lockup and correct matching knurled bolt knob. "Finland" stamped adjustable trigger installed and works crisply. Ready to be finished long action by the one and only FN.
