I have refurbished over 5,000 Garands in the last 31 years.
Rifles are obtained from dealers who bought Rifles from Government surplus. I strip them down,
refurbish the receivers and other metal components (which are USGI), then refinish them.
I mount a newUSGI barrel & install the rest of the components.
I top it off with a new walnut stock & handguards.
All of the parts are USGI with the exception of the barrel, stock and hanguards, which are new.
It doesn’t get any better than this.
