Description:
Made in 1887, this Antique Special Order Winchester 1886 in great condition. This rifle features a 26" part octagon barrel, blue/casehardened finish, and walnut stock. Fitted with dovetailed German silver blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. Retains 70% faded original finish on the barrel and traces of the case colors in areas of the frame with smooth grey or silver-grey patina. The wood is in good condition with some minor dings and scratches and a minor chip near the upper tang. Comes with Cod Firearms Museum letter. SN:9006 .38-56 WCF
