Very hard to find guns in the 471k SN range, made by Steven Lamboy in the late 90's and early 2000's these later guns in the 471k SN range are generally of very high quality and are fully handmade here in the U.S. This gun, made as a two barrel set Grade 4E Special - made especially for Ducks Unlimited! Made with a set of 16ga barrels and a second set of 20ga barrels, both 28" long, with single slim beavertail forend which is fleur-de-lis checkered with engraved Deeley latch release. Barrels marked in gold on top rib "1" and "2'". The case hardened action is beautifully engraved with shaded scroll and gold inlays on sides- gold pheasant on right, gold grouse on left. Gun made with gold plated double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. The capped pistol grip buttstock is highly figured with great grain contrast and fiddleback. The stock terminates with a thin black pad. The gun is housed in a beautiful original oak and leather case with red felt interior and has accessories in the case along with its original canvas cover.
Overall, the gun remains in excellent original condition with more than 90% bold original case color remaining. Stocks are excellent with only a couple of very very minor handling marks. Barrels are near mint with viritually all of their original blue remaining. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Gun is tight and sound. Case is excellent to near mint with only minor rubs. These are delightful guns and the quality of these later guns cannot be overstated for the money!
