Description:
The Colt Police Positive Target Model (Second Issue, Model "C") was made from 1926 to 1941 with lat patent date on the barrel was Oct. 5, 1926. This 1935 vintage Colt Police Positive Target Model is fitted with a 6 inch barrel, full checkered walnut grips with Rampant Colt medallions, adjustable rear sight (windage only), adjustable front sight (elevation only), is blue finished, and chambered in .22 LR. This Target Model is in excellent original condition, retaining 97-98% original blue, with most loss due to high edge wear and a couple of small spots of corrosion on the frame above the right grip. The bore is excellent, bright with sharp rifling. The action functions well except when slowly cocked, all 6 cylinder bores do not lock into place until the trigger is squeezed, bringing the hand up and locking the cylinder bores in alignment with the bore of the barrel. Double action functions perfectly with a tight lock-up. The grips fit very well and are in excellent original condition, retaining most all of their original finishes and showing little wear. All screw-heads are unmolested, including the very small sight screws. A nice example of its type. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
