Description:
Pre Civil War hunting rifle, double set trigger, with original ramrod and engraved eagle brass patchbox. Pewter fore end cap on attractive striped maple half stock. Engraved German silver escutcheon plates cap barrel pin. Engraved lockplate and hammer. Brass plate added around drum to limit stock burning from caps. Nice shootable bore with wiper tools built into end of ramrod. Very showy piece overall with a beautiful stock.
