Description:
A US marked and Cavalry issued Indian Wars era Colt SAA single action made in 1880. This gun has seen some action and many campfires. Serial numbers are matching with DFC above serial numbers on the frame, with inspector proof and DFC on the barrel. Cylinder is very worn and only the proof "P"is visible that I can see. Loading gate numbers matches frame.
Mottled dark patina with bumps and bruises from age and military use. Action is remarkably tight with 4 clicks and tight lock up. Cylinder is a bit loose with the original old beat up cylinder bushing in. See photos as description.
This is a " been there" Indian Wars gun that is worthy of any collection. These are getting harder to find and very expensive.
