Description:
We are proud to offer a fantastic vintage hand-built Rigby .416. Rifle emblazoned with the "John Rigby 13 Pall Mall London SW1" address boldly engraved in Olde English on the 26" barrel. Machine cut quarter rib with one standing and two folding express sights and a ramp style hooded front sight. This is a true DeLuxe. Fully acanthus scroll engraved action featuring an extended top tang with a shotgun style safety. Stocked with a flowing cheek piece and trap cap grip of the finest exhibition French walnut with color and figure one can only imagine, measures 14 3/4" LOP over the leather pad.
Rifle was built over 40 years ago just after the move from Sackville Street and pre-dates by decades the mass produced reproductions of today. Based on an Original Oberndorf Square Bridge Magnum action. Rifle was ordered by Mr .R. A. Baker who was quite the particular and demanding long time Rigby customer, and reflects in the finished product. A true Best London Rifle. Weighs 11 lbs. Fabulous condition, rifle is nearly new with all the rich London finish of the era.
