A factory letter accompanies this stunning factory Oscar Young engraved Model 1902 .38 M&P confirming the rare configuration and detailing its original shipment on April 28, 1905 to the Folsom Arms Company in New York, New York as a single unit special order. The gun is equipped with a 6.5” barrel, original bright blue finish, No. 3 coverage factory engraving and seldom seen round-butt checkered walnut non monogrammed service grips. Having just turned 117 years old this gorgeous Model 1902 features tight floral factory scrollwork straight from Oscar Young’s hand and remains in wonderful all-original condition. The original bright blue finish is stunning in person showing only the slightest wear at the muzzle and very minor patination mostly on the grip strap. Note the dual line caliber marking! The case colors are super vivid and the bore and cylinder chambers are near mint. Overall very rarely seen model in any configuration, given the factory engraving and condition this is certain to have a special place in any collection!
