We offer you a “Collector Grade” Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1956 Carbine Chambered in 7x57 Mauser with All Matching Numbers.
We offer you an all original "High Percentage" all matching numbers Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer Carbine. This Carbine has a total of (11) serial numbered parts; “Trigger guard 7606, Trigger plate 6606, Trigger 606, Bolt 17606, Nose Cap 7606, Safety lever 606, Receiver 17606, Barrel 17606, Stock 17606 and last but not least and seldom seen both action screws 606”.
This Carbine was purchased new and has been sitting in a safe for the last 66 years. The stock has a few very minor surface marks. As you can see the pencil written serial number is still visible in the barrel channel. This was done to keep track of the stock until completed. At that time the serial number was stamped into the wood. No reason to do that step until it was finished so they wrote in pencil at the start of the build. The bluing finish shows no wear at all nor do any of the parts. The bore is excellent as you would expect since it was never taken out to a range or the field.
The front receiver ring is marked; Made in AUSTRIA / Original / Mannlicher / Schoenauer / Mod. 1956 / KAL. 7X57". On the bottom of the magazine floor plate it is marked “Steyr logo / STOEGER / ARMS / CORPORATION” in an oval. The magazine is marked inside “7x57”. The left front of the receiver and left rear side of the barrel show proof marks and the date code of "56" - 1956. The receiver is marked; "Steyr - Daimler - Puch A.G., Steyr followed by the Steyr logo". The rear sight is a 2-leaf with one folding blade marked “300”.
To find a Carbine this original with all matching numbers in this high condition is not something you see very often anymore.
This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $75. It will be shipped in a foam lined double walled cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
