Springfield M1 Garand, chambered for 30-06. Garand # 298605 was sold from the CMP (civilian marksmanship program) in 2004, but it has seen earlier usage as a Danish service rifle. Indications towards this is the new barrel stamped with the Danish crown and VAR (Vaabenarsenalet, or Arms Arsenal) with the date of July 1971 .30-06 Springfield
