A mid-western maker Tingle crafted hand made black powder muzzle loaders for amny years, none of them marked but a tell tale identification is that he purchesed short American cheery boards to make stock and his stocks ae joined at the wrist with two peice cherry wood as with this fine rifle. The 40" ocrafonal barrel of 1" diameter has a super clean shiny rifled bore. Action works well, and the lock-plate is color case hardened. The fint gives a shower of copious sparks on the frizzen. Excellent American cherry stock and the furniture is all German silver .The LOP is 14 5/8" with the crescent German silver butt-platees with a hardwood ram-rod.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
