**SOLD ** For your consideration we have this lovely little Orvis Custom model 28ga made by Arrieta. 27" barrels with matte solid rib. Chokes marked ****/*** (Improved Cylinder and Modified) and 70mm (2 3/4") chambers. Coin finished side lock action with automatic ejectors and rose and scroll engraving covers nearly the entire surface. Disc-set strikers, double triggers and automatic safety. Multipoint checkering with engraved Anson type button release on forend. Straight grip stock with void inscription oval and factory leather covered recoil pad. Stock measures a LOP of 14 1/2" from front trigger to end of pad, 1 1/2" drop and comb and 2 1/2" drop at heel. Very high quality CSMC canvas and leather trunk case and accessories included. All new. Gun weighs 5lbs 14ozs.
Gun retains about 95% of original blued finish with light spotting around breach areas. There is no pitting, just spotting of bluing. Spotting looks worse in photos than it does on gun. 98% coin finish with some discoloring on right lock plate and light handling evidence. The wood is very good with scattered minor marks and light scratches. Sharp checkering and the gun is mechanically excellent with lever far to the right of center. It is our opinion that this gun has not been shot much. Barrels ring beautifully and the gun locks up tight with lever far to the right. Really a beautiful little 28 bore from a high quality Spanish maker.
