About Us: I am a longtime NRA Life Member. I am also a Charter Member of my gun club (SGC) Scottsdale Gun Club, of Scottsdale, AZ, which does all my firearm transfers and shipping. I am over 70 and am selling my lifetime collection of firearms. This listing is for a very special and very hard to find CIMARRON 1858 NEW MODEL NAVY, IN .38 S&W Special (also shoots the .38 Colt revolver cartridge-Long or Short) and this 6 shot revolver has the very rare 5.5" barrel! This gun looks very similar to Remington's Civil War Navy revolver, but it is a 100% modern .38 Special revolver. This revolver is virtually unavailable anywhere online and may have even been discontinued by Cimarron. The Cimarronsite just states "out of stock". I bought this gun new in 2019 and have fired less than 50 rounds of new cowboy .38 Spl Factory ammo. Why buy a gun from a seller who has never even fired the gun? This gun is a tested and well proven shooter! The gun functions perfectly and shoots very close to the point of aim. The recoil is very mild with this revolver. This revolver in .38 Special, will SAVE the shooter well OVER 50% or more by using less expensive ammo compared with similar .45 Long Colt ammo and the .38 Special ammo is way more available nationwide! This gun was even hard to find 3 years ago, so, I do not believe Cimarron made very many. The gun is in virtually near new condition inside and out and comes in the serial numbered matching box with the papers. This revolver loads similar to the Colt Single Action Army as you just thumb the hammer back to half cock, open the side loading gate and then insert the cartridges (the cylinder stays in place) and then to eject the empty cases, just half cock the gun, open loading gate, drop the bottom lever and use the ejector rod to push out the empty cases. The cylinder can be removed for cleaning by just dropping the bottom lever and pulling out the cylinder pin and the cylinder falls out to the right (it goes back in the same way)-very easy! The revolver has been a safe queen as I am way over 70 and have started to sell my guns online. All sales and all shipping to the lower 47 States only (no sales to Calif.). The buyer is responseable to know if they are allowed to buy and own this revolver where they reside. Please note that the 3 calendar day inspection and return is not for any disassembly or firing the gun. Also note that if the buyer returns the gun, they must pay for the return shipping and use the exact same shipping service that the seller has used and the buyer's refund will be reduced by the seller's expenses as well. The buyer must also give the seller at least 3 calendar days advance notice of their intention to return the gun. Buyer should email the seller any questions before buying the gun. After the buyer agrees to buy the gun, the seller will email all the details that the buyer will need to complete the purchase.
