"Remington Model 1858 (New Model Army) Engraved .44 Caliber. Union Army Issue. This revolver is later custom engraved and signed H.H. Hilton Engraver. Excellent quality floral and scroll engraving with very fine stipple background. The trigger guard is of brass and is engraved and chiseled in relief in leaf scrolls. Grips are very good. This revolver has 100% of the blue from the time of the engraving. Gun has an excellent action and locks up and indexes perfectly. Barrel markings are excellent and all barrel edges are sharp. This is a very handsome Remington with quality workmanship. Bore is excellent and nipples are perfect. Gun appears unfired.
