Description:
CLASSIC 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE, .30WCF, #840XXX, MADE 1916. Very nice appearance with full coverage receiver aged blue mixing heavily with plum/brown with good blue on the loading gate. Similarly, the barrel and magazine show fine aged blue with excellent markings and original ladder carbine rear sight with slide intact. Typical for the period gumwood stock and forend, but this one is a richer brown than usually encountered and is excellent with tight wood to metal fit. Tight action. Bore is dark and frosty with good rifling all the way through. Saddle ring intact. Good looking 106 year old 1894.
