AWESOME ISREALI "FN" K-98 .22 CAL. SER. 1192. THIS EXTREMELY RARE IS GUN IS PART OF OF AN ODER OF 1000 GUNS GUN MADE FOR THE ISREALI DEFENCE FORCES BY FABRIQUE NATIONAL. THEY WERE DELIVERED TO THE "IDF" IN 1952. ALL WERE STAMPED WITH THE ISREAL DEFENSE FORCES CREST AS SHOWN ON THE RECEIVER. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT LESS THAT 200 ARE STILL EXTANT. WHAT A STORY THIS BEAUTY COULD TELL. IT WAS IN USE WITH THE "IDF" 5 YEARS BEFORE THE 6 DAY WAR. THE GUN HAS RETAINED ABOUT ABOUT 50% OF THE ORIGINAL FINISH, THE BALANCE IS HAS FADED TO A SILVER GRAY PATINA. THERE ARE NO RUST SPOTS. ALL PARTS MATCH. THE RECEVER HAS THE "IDF" CREST, THE BARREL THE PROPER PROOFS**. THE STOCK DOES SHOWS SUBSTANTIAL USE WITH NUMEROUS SMALL NICKS, DINGS AND SCRATCHES. HOWEVER THERE ARE NO SPLITS OR MISSIN PIECES. THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BUTT IS STAMPED " 0.22" DESIGNATING IT'S CALIBER. THE BOLT RAILS, FEED RAMP AND BOLT FACE SHOW SLIGHT USE. THE BORE IS SUNSHINE BRIGHT WITH RAZOR SHARP RIFLING IT COMES WITH A LEATHER SLING IN FINE SHAPE THAT APPEARS TO HAVE SERIAL NUMBER WITH AN ISREALI CHARACTER.
