Description:
The Remington Model 722 (A) was the short action version of the Model 721 (A). The .257 Roberts caliber was discontinued in 1960. This Push Feed action gun remains in very good overall condition. Wood is solid showing some light scratches and finish wear normal for a gun this age. Original blue is good but has some light oxidation on barrel, floorplate and trigger guard. Bore is excellent. Sling swivel studs are rusted and have been attached to gun with twisted wire. Previous owner has also put wooden shims on either side of barrel in front of rear sight filler. This is a classic American made gun in a popular caliber that would be a good project gun! Complete with period Weaver K-6 scope on Redfield mount. No box. .257 Roberts
