This tomahawk pipe axe is pictured and described in the book " Tomahawks- Pipe Axes of the American Frontier" by John Baldwin.
The last picture in our listing is of Jim Dresslar with part of his collection. The picture is from the book " Who's Who in Indian Relics.
The decorated wooden haft shows great age with wonderful patina and is from the period of use and probably the original haft.
