Description:
Unique SWIVEL BREECH .22 LR Conversion of REMINGTON New Model ARMY Revolver

Made Circa 1863-65 w/ 20th Century .22 Rimfire Conversion

Here we present a Remington New Model Army .22LR Conversion Revolver. The New Model Army was manufactured from 1863 to 1875 with a total production of approximately 132,000 and represented the last of Remington's .44 caliber percussion revolvers. Though this revolver was made during the Civil War, we are considering it a Modern Firearm since it has a modern conversion and fires modern ammunition.

This example was converted by an individual named John A. Marenghi (he electro-penciled his name onto the barrel and stamped his initials “JM”). We believe that this was done by John Ambrose Marenghi (1920-1992) of Hartford, Connecticut, who was a machinist.

The overall condition is good. Strong action. Bright, nicely rifled bore. Both grips are in good shape with an expected amount of wear. Numbers match.
Barrel is 7-1/4 inches.

Caliber: .22 S, L, LR

Overall condition as seen in photos.

Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. This firearm is classified as Modern.
