**SOLD** WW2 2nd Block National Postal Meter M1 Carbine 1943 manufactured. A great looking World War 2 M1 Carbine has been through an Arsenal re-work and most like served in Korea as well WW2. This example is serial number 1749613 and was made in roughly late 1943. The stock is a scarce I cut stock but is modified to low wood (most likely in the field along with the rear sight and type III band. The stock is marked in the sling well with a "Trimble TN". The left side of the the stock has the "NPM over FJA" cartouche and the right side has a "AAP" arsenal re-work marking. The hand guard is unmarked but matches the stock well. The metal parts show a GI parkerized finish including the flat "N11" marked bolt. The barrel is a post war Marlin replacement. The barrel is bright with sharp rifling. The muzzle gauges at a 2 and the rifle passes headspacing tests. This m1 carbine should make an outstanding shooter. The rifle has an NPM slide and trigger housing as well with the blance of small parts such as the rear sight and type III band being a mix of various manufacturers. Comes with (1) correct original (15) round GI magazine marked "MN". This rifle does not show an Import mark. If you are looking for a nice representative piece or a good shooter this one would be an excellent addition to any M1 Carbine or WW2 collection.
