We offer you an “EARLY” Remington Model 700 BDL Varmint Special .22-250 Bolt Action Rifle Made In February of 1975.
This Remington model 700 BDL Varmint Special heavy barrel rifle wears a 24 inch barrel with an excellent bore with no issues. The bluing on the barrel, bottom metal and receiver are in very fine condition as you can see. On top is a Redfield 1-piece scope mount and rings. In those is a BSA SWF 8-32x44 side focus scope with a mil-dot duplex reticule that is in excellent condition inside and out. The package sits in a Walnut stock that features hand cut checkering with a Monte Carlo comb and a cheek piece. The pistol grip has a black checkered cap with white spacer; the forend tip is black with white spacer as is the buttplate. The white spacers are slightly yellowed from age, lets you know the finish is original. The stock has factory sling swivel studs at the butt and on the forend. It shows scattered handling marks with a small compression marks from use over the years. The checkering panels show very light wear with a marks. The L.O.P. is 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the original (4-screw) butt plate. The complete package is ready to go with a very fine trigger.
The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech “6836259” with “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” / PAT. NO. 2,473,373 (extractor) 2,514,981 (firing mechanism) 2,585,195 (breech closing)” - “.22-250 REM.”. The left side of the chamber is marked “inspection marks, date code LZ (February 1975). The right side of the barrel is marked with magnaflux proof, and test marks at the breech. The bottom of the bolt has the matching hand-marked number “6259”.

This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $60. It will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
