Description:
24 inch barrel with a bright very good plus bore showing some frosting in the grooves with strong rifling throughout. Metal surfaces retain about 60% original blue with most of the loss due to apparently being exposed to something caustic long ago leaving scattered moderate oxidation and light pitting overall mostly along the right side. The bolt itself retains about 90% original bright blue. Hammer shows vibrant case colors overall and the correct smoot flat buttplate shows some smoky remnants of colors. All markings are sharp with the “N.R.A.” stamp struck with weak top edges on upper left side action. Original sights include the proper 1901 Krag rear and a blade on a post hooded front. Smooth walnut stocks remain in very fine condition retaining strong oil finish showing the expected scattered light dings and handling marks. Complete with barrel band mounted front and detachable rear sling swivels and a bayonet lug.
