MAUSER K-98, (BCD/43) CAL. 8MM, SER. 6736V. THIS ICON OF WWII IS IN REALLY NICE SHAPE. IT HAS RETAINED ABOUT 80+% OF THE ORIGINAL FINISH. THE MODEST LOSS THERE IS, IS DUE TO SOME SURFACE FADING AND SHARP EDGE SILVERING ON THE RECEIVER AND OTHER METAL PARTS. THERE ARE NO RUST PATCHES EXCEPT FOR A FEW SMALL ONES ON THE BUTT PLATE. THERE ARE NO RUB MARKS OR SCRATCHES ANYWHERE. THE RECEIVER, BOLT, BOLT PARTS, TRIGGER GUARD AND FLOOR PLATE ALL MATCH AND ALL PARTS HAVE THE PROPER WAFFENAMTS**. THE SOLID WOOD STOCK IS ALSO IN NICE SHAPE, THERE ARE SEVERAL SCATTERED SURFACE DINGS AND ONE SMALL CHIP MISSING FROM THE LEFT FRONT. HOWEVER THERE ARE NO CRACKS OR MISSING SLIVERS. THE SLIDE RAILS, FEED RAMP, BOLT FACE AND FOLLOWER SHOW JUST MODEST USE. THE BORE IS FINE, SUNSHINE BRIGHT WITH SHARP WELL DEFINED RIFLING AND JUST A WHISP OF SCATTERED FROST.
