Description:
This Colt 1911 is in excellent condition. It commemorates the Meuse Argonne battle at the end of the first World War. The left side of the slide is roll stamped with a battle scene. The right side of the slide is an engraved banner which reads, "1917 WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATIVE 1967." The Grips are polished walnut with the left side consisting of a spread wing eagle with "1917-1918" at the top and "World War" below and beneath that, there is a small banner that states "Meuse Argonne." This firearm has a thumb safety, a grip safety, a lanyard loop on the base of the mainspring housing, a push button magazine release, a solid, smooth trigger, and a wide metal checkered hammer. The right side has a gold medallion with a soldier at port arms and the countries involved in World War 1. Overall this is an excellent piece for a collector. The high gloss bluing is in pristine condition. The right grip has a pinhead-sized mark at the base. This firearm comes with a wood and plexiglass case. .45 ACP
