Prewar 1940 Winchester model 62A .22 Slide action, takedown rifle in excellent condition in box with manual.
. Two of the finest rimfire rifles ever made were the Model 61 and Model 62 Winchester. Both were introduced in 1932 — the Model 61, with its streamlined, hammerless profile styled somewhat after the Model 12 shotgun — and the Model 62, with its more traditional “Winchester look,” featuring a visible hammer and straight-grip stock. Produced from 1932 to 1958. This rifle was designed by the master " John Moses Browning"
This rifle remains in 95% condition , an honest original finish gun living in its original box 82 years after it left the factory. All mechanics are excellent and action cycles as it should. Wood in excellent condition with tight grain stock and matching corn cob. Original butt plate with Winchester logo. Rifle quickly takes down with one finger screw for easy backpack carry. Chambers .22 long rifle, .22 long, and .22 short cartridges easily with its short throw slide action. Exported hammer for simple, safe operation. This sweet Winchester will be a Gem in any collection.
