Marlin Model 39 rimfire rifle with deluxe wood! Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 8480. Bbl. 24" oct. w/ Marlin Firearms Corp. markings. Ivory bead front sight & V notch sporting rear sight. Full length tubular mag. Walnut forearm & "S" curved pistol grip stock of fancy walnut w/ hard rubber buttplate having Marlin "Bullseye" trademark in toeline. The Model 39 was introduced in 1922 & replaced by the Model 39A in 1936. CONDITION: metal finish is fading to brown patina, showing edge wear on bbls. Wood shows scattered small scratches & marks. Good mechanics including the take down feature. Bore retains sound rifling w/ darkness in grooves and should clean better. Desirable early "no prefix" Model 39 with deluxe wood that will make someone a very nice collector and shooter.
