Description:
24 inch round tapered barrel chambered in 22 Hornet caliber with an excellent bore. Hooded ramp bead front sight with open dovetail for rear sight. Receiver & barrel have added holes for Weaver mounts/Weaver 4x scope. Walnut stock with checkered steel buttplate & leather sling on original swivels. Detachable 4 round box magazine. Metal surfaces are mostly clean and smooth A couple light handling marks and a few freckles. Wood has typical handling marks with a small area of filler on left side and a light coat of finish added. The Model 43 has been dubbed the "Poor Man's Model 70". About 62,617 made between 1949-1957.
