1868 Springfield rifle with 69 dated breech block with matching serial numbers on barrel. Chambered in mighty 50-70 cartridge. Original wood with four distinct cartouche markings. Original sling ,cleaning rod and bayonet. Used during Indian Wars. 50,000 of this model made for US Army while they strived to standardize calibers in their weapons. Good bore with strong rifling and some frosting in between grooves. An honest shooting piece of US history complete to add to your collection. Antique firearm needs no FFL and can be shipped direct for $55.00
