Dakota 76 Safari bolt action rifle chambered in the time honored .375 H&H Magnum. This is Dakota’s finest with many special ordered upgrades.
Starting with elegant straight-grained walnut stock selected first for strength and second for beauty. On a dangerous game caliber rifle, stock strength and integrity are critical, and this stock fits the bill. Finely checkered, raised shadow-line cheek piece, inletted/case-colored rear sling swivel stud, double case-colored reinforcing cross bolts and ebony forearm tip rounds out the stock features. 14 1/8” LOP over factory installed 1” recoil pad.
The famous Dakota 76 action is beautifully case-colored, as are the bases and 30mm Talley QR rings. All of the bottom metal, including the grip cap are matching case colored as well.
The bolt is engine turned (jeweled), the bolt knob is two-panel checkered and the safety housing is case colored.
The 23” barrel is finished in a matte rust blue.
Overall, this gun is unfired and is 99% overall condition. The 1% deduct…a very small scratch on the top, left, rear of the stock!
With the Dakota logo engraved on both the stock escutcheon and on the grip cap along with the DM76S-1 serial number and all of the special features perhaps this was
a “show” piece for Dakota?!
