Scarce U.S. Civil War Military Issued Percussion Colt 3rd Model Dragoon Revolver In Fine Untouched Condition. Serial #12,929, all matching numbers including the wedge. Made in 1853. The gun has fine metal and markings throughout including a full cylinder scene. It is fully U.S. Sub-Inspected. The barrel & cylinder have an even natural light brown patina throughout them with hints of color in spots. The frame, hammer, and loading lever show mousey case colors on them. The contrast in the colors in the gun are from the flash on the camera. The frame and loading lever are not as light as they appear. The brass trigger guard and backstrap are fine and untouched. The original grips are excellent throughout with clear vertical U.S. Inspectors Cartouches on both sides of them. The gun has a fine bore and very tight action.
