Description:
German M1898/05 rifle Bayonet, no scabbard WWI for 98 Mauser. This is a good example of a Deutsche Maschinefabrik A-G, DUISBURG, early type 05 with a part muzzle ring and with flash guard. The blade is good original condition, no chip with correct tip, length is correct at 14 1/2". Left cross guard has a marking that is very hard to read but looks like "E.98.5". Handle and guard are in fair shape. Some surface rust on handle and guard. Spine markings correct with manufacture date of 1915.
