Description:
This is a scarce partial box, 17 original cartridges, of early .38-40 ammunition manufactured by the American Metallic Cartridge Company. The two piece box is intact with old repairs showing a mostly complete top label with very good detail, a side label with “SHOT CARTRIDGES" call out and a partial end label with the Winchester Model 1873 call out. The car have intact paper wrapped shot capsules showing light verdigris on the cases.
