Description:
Serial #13081, .22 LR, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a pre-1955 revolver that still has the upper sideplate screw, and matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish remaining. There is some silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and ejector rod, as well as a mild turn-ring on the cylinder. The trigger and hammer have retained a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening with some trace wear along the edges. The checkered, round-butt, S&W medallion grips are correct and fit perfectly, but are numbered to a different gun on the interior. The lock-up is still tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a splendid example of a pinned and recessed I-Frame S&W, and rates fine-near excellent overall. FFL or C&R
