EARLY STYLE WW1 OR WWI U.S. MODEL 1905 "1918" RIFLE BAYONET WITH ORIGINAL CANVAS COVERED M1910 SCABBARD. 16" false edge blade with original late war parkerizing correct. Guard/hilt with factory blue(correct). Ricasso of blade stamped 'S.A." over flaming bomb over "1918". Opposite that is "U.S." over rifle serial number then screaming eagle proof with "X12" next to it. Original early style rough hewn wood grip panels correct before 1905/42 upgrade to plastic. Grip panels excellent as original and held by correct screw. Birds head pommel also with original factory color. Canvas covered Model 1910 scabbard with original stitching and original duck canvas cloth stained from period of use. Cover still has original leather drag. Very nice rare early style 1905 rifle bayonet for the 1903-a3 rifle including an early scabbard. Hard to find that have not been upgraded to 1905/1942 configuration.
