Unique and truly one of a kind Gambling Hall, Poker Chip Rack circa 1890-1910.
The chips are Victorian era clay chips. Housed in wooden rack with slots for two decks of cards in the center. The cover is a combination of wood and metal. The Metal has been punched and painted to look like Wicker to dress it up a bit
The Round case is 8 1/2 inches in diameter, and 4 1/2 inches tall without the carry handle. The wood shows no breaks or chips though there is some wear. There are 10 slots for chips. It is currently holding 176 chips in 3 colors, but could hold up to 190 chips. The colors are 86 cream, 43 blue, and 47 red. The chips are 1 1/4 in. in diameter, I did come across a few with chips but all are in great condition and usable with no cracking.
This Chip Rack is a wonderful parlor type set. This great set shows a some age, but is ready for the big game of 5 Card Stud.. I have included 2 sets of old time cards.
