The Smith & Wesson M&P 40 Shield features a slim, lightweight, and snag-free profile, specifically designed for concealed carry. A polymer frame and a black Armornite™-finished stainless steel slide make the 40 Shield extremely resistant to the corrosive effects of sweat and humidity when carried close to the body. A rigid, extended stainless steel chassis embedded to the polymer frame reduces flex and torque when firing for improved control. A new aggressive texture keeps hand in place. Low-profile, 3-dot steel sights offer intuitive target acquisition, and fish scale slide serrations provide a non-slip grip while chambering rounds or clearing a jam.
