Very RARE Pre War Model 70 Super Grade in 7 M/M Mauser (7x57). S/N 30*** with matching bolt made in 1940. This rifle has seen some careful use over those many years, but remains in very good-excellent condition showing an average of 95% finishes and 100% correct Pre War components throughout. Bore and mechanical functions are excellent. Rear receiver bridge remains undrilled! The small details such as concave shouldered Pre War swivels, correct vintage and height Redfield front sight, correctly stamped SG floorplate, "3" stamp on magazine follower spring, etc. are all present and correct. This highly coveted 7 M/M caliber represents only 1/4 of 1 percent of total Model 70 Production. Factor in the Super Grade configuration and on top of that a Pre War Super Grade, and you have a very special and very fairly priced example of an exceedingly rare rifle!
