Description:
Remington Model 14 Carbine (14-R), .30 Remington Caliber, the carbine version of the Model 14 is uncommon and not easy to find. This gun has the early "Thumbnail Safety" and a functional push button safety within the trigger guard. This safety configuration was used in 1920. This gun does not have a "Thumbwheel Sight" on the barrel but does have a rear tang sight and a flip up sight on the barrel. This explains why the thumbwheel sight was removed. The butt plate is the type used from 1913-1920. All finishes appear to be original. There isn't a lot of published information about these guns that I'm aware of other than the 72 page book by Ken Blauch. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
