Description:
Up for sale a CPA Shuttleworth Stevens 44 1/2. This rifle comes with two barrel. Barrel 1 is a half round half octagon barrel chambered in 25-20 Stevens. It is drilled and tapped for Unertl type bases. Barrel 2 is a round barrel chambered in .22 rimfire. It is also drilled and tapped for Unertl type base. Both barrels are 10 twist The wood on this rifle is fancy. Included are a scheutzen buttstock and the appropriate scheutzen foreends for both barrels. As seen in the photos a very nice set of benchrest stocks, done in fancy wood, with the foreend beeing 3 inches wide.
Included with this rifle are 100+ Bertram cases and 50 hard to find unfired Jamison cases. A nice breech seater comes along with several hundred bullets weighed and lubed with Javalina lube. Also a box of bullets sorted and weighed but unlubed. Two bullet molds go along with the rifle, a Wagner ,258-117 grn and a Mos .258 110 grn.
The Unerl scope on the rifle is a 3/4 tube. Originally the scope was 24x. I sent it to Optical Services Company where the scope was boosted to 40x and a fine crosshair with 1/8 dot was installed. Absolutey great job. Very clear.
