MARLIN 39-A, 24 inch Barrel, 22-S/L/L/R, JM Stamped Barrel, Serial Number H173XX, Manufactured in 1951. This is a RARE to find rifle, because it was the only year Marlin produced what was called the Peanut. In the Black button on the underside of the stock it had a GOLD COLORED PEANUT in it. When you purchased the rifle you could take the PEANUT out and sent it back to Marlin and they would stamp your initials in it and send it back to you. This made the rifle like a speciality rifle with your initials in it. ONLY manufactured in 1951 and this PEANUT remains UN STAMPED. This rifle remains in 98% condition over all. You will not find a cleaner or nicer one. Really nice and clean wood, bluing excellent, Ballard Rifleling in Barrel. This rifle is being sold out of my private collection. Shipping will be a flat rate of $70.00 due to increased shipping rates. Shipped from me with a copy of my Driver's License to your FFL dealer, provided they will accept it from an individual and email me a copy of their FFL License. If it must go FFL to FFL please add $35.00 for this service. Insurance will be avaliable at the rate of $1.60 per hundred if desired.
