Description: This is a reproduction Flintlock, U.S. Model 1795 Springfield Infantry Musket. The 1795 was the first Musket made in the U.S. armory at Springfield Mass. It was copied from the 1766 French Charleville. It has a 69 Cal. 44 3/4 inch long smoothbore Barrel. This Gun has a case-hardened Frizzen and throws plenty of good sparks to limit misfires. It is 60 inches overall and has the correct Proof marks and lock markings. The 1795 was the model for our Combat Infantryman's Badge. The barrel is made of seamless carbon steel, BS970.
