Description:
This single action revolver (modelled after the Colt Single Action Army) is a Magnum Research BFR chambered in .45/70 Government. The BFR comes in two basic models, one with a long cylinder for larger rifle cartridges, and one with a more traditional revolver cylinder length (called "short" by Magnum Research). This one has the Long cylinder. Magnum Research's BFR (Big Frame Revolver) is a powerful, elegant and accurate modern take on a classic. It is Made in the USA. Sights are an elevated black fixed front sight and an adjustable rear one cantilevered slightly behind the frame thus elongating the sight radius for increased sighting stability and hence accuracy. It has a cut rifled barrel that delivers unmatched accuracy with lead or jacketed bullets. Trigger pull is 4 to 5 pounds and the gun weighs 4 pounds, 6 oz empty. It comes with an MRI scope mount (Weaver style) included in the packaging. This BFR is in very good condition; the grips show some signs of handling wear and the brushed stainless steel frame and barrel do have some handling marks. This revolver comes with the original factory foam lined box, paperwork, Weaver style MRI scope mount rail, lock, etc. (see photo) For anyone interested in a big caliber revolver, the Magnum Research BFR merits further examination! .45-70 Government
