Description:
Remington Navy Conversion Model 1858. (with correct .38 special (.357) bore dimensions for best accurate shooting). The .36 caliber percussion revolver barrel has a bore diameter of .375 inches and will not accurately fire today's .38 special .357 caliber bullet. To attain best accuracy with a .38 special caliber cartridge, you must line the revolver bore with the correct rifling and that is just what has been done here. The .38 special ammo is available at ALL gun shops. Another feature that best accuracy was the goal is the thin hand made tall front sight. A loading port has been cut in the frame and converts this '58 Remington for the Kirst cartridge conversion with loading gate. The correct historic type ejector rod assembly has been added to complete this conversion. Lock up is tight and the bore is shinny bright.
