Description:
For your consideration, a Springfield M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The '43 marked SA barrel gauges as follows: 2.5 throat, 2.5 muzzle. Of note to collectors, the rear sight is of the early, "lock-bar" type. The stock bears a rack number of 25 stamped on the pommel of the wrist and the boxed [SA GAW] cartouche of inspector George A. Woody accompanied by the crossed cannons of Springfield Armory. Included is the pictured canvassling, plastic oil bottle, and combo tool. This piece dates to 1944. .30-06 Springfield
