Bois d'If or yew wood  is one of those trees that was relatively common in the past, but increasingly rare nowadays. 1000-year-old yews are rare. Yew is basically orange-brown to reddish-brown with a distinct white to yellow sapwood, of equal hardness to that of the heartwood.  This wood is often marked with small black dots. Nowadays, it is appreciated for turning, carving, knife handles, and marquetry. In the Middle Ages, Yew was used for making bows, crossbows and arrows.

NOTE: I do not engage in any type of trade, therefore this applies to any knife listed. Thank you very much.
