Description:
Remington Model 14-1/2 Carbine (14-R), .38-40 Remington or 38 WCF Caliber, the carbine version of the Model 14-1/2 is uncommon and not easy to find. The Model number is stamped on the barrel, this practice ended in 1924 when they started marking the model number on the receiver. This gun has the correct "Thumbwheel Sight" on the barrel. The metal finish is original and has a lot of condition. The butt stock has some minor nicks. The butt plate is metal. The fore end stock has one nick on the left side at the rear end. The bore is in excellent condition. There isn't a lot of published information about these guns that I'm aware of other than the 72 page book by Ken Blauch. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
